The metal and glass sculpture of Brian Russell require a high degree of technical expertise to construct. Brian is one of only a few sculptors in the world to have the depth of knowledge to be able to combine both a lost wax glass casting operation and metal forging and fabrication in one studio. By personally working with the materials and techniques on a daily basis he maintains strict control of the results. Constant technical progress helps to keep his vision clear and freah, his sculptures lively and energetic.
The following downloadable .pdf file is a 4 page photo essay documenting the construction process of one of the Hemisphere Series.
